Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. white or yellow corn meal
3 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
3 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Combine corn meal, shortening and 2 cups milk in heavy saucepan over medium heat.
Heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
Blend beaten eggs, salt and remaining milk.
Gradually stir into cornmeal mixture and mix well.
Add baking powder and stir well.
Pour into well greased 2-quart casserole dish.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
