New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. chopped clams
    3 stalks chopped celery with leaves
    6 medium to large potatoes, chopped or ground
    6 medium onions, chopped or ground
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 tsp. ground pepper
    1 pt. heavy cream and 1 pt. light cream (or half and half)
    more pepper to taste
Preparation
    Simmer clams, celery, potatoes, onions and salt slowly until soft bubbles appear, then add butter and pepper.
    Let melt, then add remaining ingredients.
    Let bubble slightly; serve.
    Stir frequently while cooking.
