Mincemeat - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean chopped beef
1/2 lb. chopped suet
12 oz. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 pt. cider
3/4 lb. currants
1 lb. raisins
1/8 lb. citron
1 pt. peeled, sliced apples
1 c. brandy
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. mace
3/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Put into a large kettle:
chopped beef, suet, brown sugar, molasses, cider, currants, raisins and citron.
Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until the sugar and citron melt.
