Cheesy Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 (14 1/2 oz. each) cans chicken broth
3/4 c. chopped carrots
1 small chopped onion
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
3 Tbsp. flour
2 c. chopped broccoli
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1 c. heavy cream
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy 4-quart saucepan; add flour.
Cook and stir until thick and bubbly; remove from heat.
Gradually blend in broth.
Add broccoli, carrots, celery, onion, salt, garlic powder and thyme.
Return to heat and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until veggies are tender.
