Knott'S Cabbage With Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    1 head cabbage, shredded
    salt to taste
    1 c. ham, cooked and chopped
Preparation
    In a 6-quart saucepan, pour in water and then add cabbage and salt.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 4 minutes or until just tender.
    Drain almost all of the liquid; then add ham and toss well.
    Serve in a side dish to accompany fried chicken.
    Serves 6 to 8.
