Peach Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. peaches, pureed
    4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger and allspice
Preparation
    Mix peaches, sugar and salt in heavy saucepan.
    Boil fast on medium-high.
    As butter thickens, lower heat.
    Add spices and cook until thick enough to almost flake off spoon.
    Pour into sterile jars 1/2-inch from top.
    Water bath for 10 minutes.
