Baked Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Butter two No. 2 cans. Mix sugar, raisins, soda and salt. Add butter and pour water over all. Simmer for 5 minutes and cool. Add egg and flour to mixture. Blend. Pour into cans. Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0.
