Cathy'S Baked Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Peel and core apples.
    Place face up in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Place pat of butter in center of each apple.
    Prepare sauce.
    Cook sauce over low heat 5 minutes.
    Pour over apples and bake until tender at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Serve warm topped with walnut pieces.
    Great by itself or served with vanilla ice cream.
