Almond Christmas Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. ground almonds (2 oz.)
    1/4 c. powdered sugar (10x)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. powdered sugar (10x)
    candied cherries
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugar until it's very fluffy.
    Add sugar, flour, almonds and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Take a teaspoonful of dough.
    Roll it between hands until it starts to form a ball.
    Push in a cherry with thumb and finish rolling to make a perfect ball. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 35 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    While still hot, roll in sugar to coat.
    Cool on racks.
