White Yeast Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
1 c. water
1 c. Pet milk
1/4 c. shortening
Preparation

Stir yeast, sugar, salt and 1/3 of flour in a mixing bowl. Heat water, Pet milk and shortening in a saucepan until warm.
Add to flour mixture and beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
Mix in remaining flour.
Turn out on lightly floured board.
Knead until smooth and elastic.
Shape into smooth ball.
Place in greased bowl.
Grease dough lightly.
Cover and let rise until dough doubles in size.
Divide into 2 equal parts and shape into loaves. Put in greased 9-inch loaf pans.
Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 400\u00b0.
