Cherry Coffee Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Beat shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla and beat well.
Add flour and baking powder, beating until well combined.
Pour 1/2 batter into greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish and cover with pie filling.
Combine sugar, nuts and cinnamon and sprinkle 1/2 over pie filling.
Top with remaining batter and then remaining nut mixture.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
