Homemade Vanilla Extract - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brandy
    2 vanilla beans, cut in 2-inch pieces
Preparation
    Combine the brandy and vanilla in a fancy bottle with tight-fitting lid.
    Cover and let stand for 3 months, shaking weekly.
    After using about 3/4 cup of the extract, throw in a new bean and fill bottle up.
