Lemon Sponge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
juice and rind of 1 lemon
2 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
2 egg whites
9-inch unbaked pie crust
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Beat egg yolk and add lemon.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add flour and milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold whites into rest of ingredients.
Put into crust.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for 30 or more minutes.
