Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1 qt. blackberries
3/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In a 2-quart baking dish, melt butter. In a separate bowl, mix flour and 1 cup sugar until well blended. Add milk and mix until blended.
Pour this over butter; do not stir.
Pour blackberries over this; do not stir, then sprinkle 3/4 cup sugar over berries; do not stir. Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve warm.
