Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. chicken broth or bouillon
    1 c. finely chopped broccoli
    1/2 c. milk (evaporated milk makes it thicker)
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 small bay leaf
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until tender.
    Add flour, stirring well. Gradually stir in broth, broccoli and bay leaf.
    Cook over medium heat until broccoli is tender, stirring frequently.
    Reduce heat and remove bay leaf.
    Add pepper.
    Add milk right before serving. Makes 4 to 5 cups.
