Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. eye of round, cut into strips
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    2 green peppers, cut into strips
    1 small onion, diced
    1/4 c. hoisin sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water, cold
    1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/3 c. plum sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Marinate beef strips with soy sauce and black pepper for at least 6 hours.
    In a wok, heat oil until hot.
    Add onions, meat and cook for 3 minutes.
    Add plum and hoisin sauces and sugar.
    Cover and cook for 3 minutes; add green pepper.
    Mix cold water and cornstarch.
    Add to the mixture; stir to evenly thicken sauce. Serve over rice.
