Elaine'S Stained Glass Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. water
3/4 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. oil base food flavoring (such as anise, peppermint, cinnamon, apple, orange, etc.)
food coloring (of choice)

Preparation

Cook the first 3 ingredients until 310\u00b0 on candy thermometer. Add the oil base food flavoring and food coloring.
Pour onto cookie sheet. When cool and hardened, chop into pieces and dust with powdered sugar.
