Pecan-Chocolate Chip Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked 8-inch pie shell
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    3/4 c. dark corn syrup
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    2 eggs
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Spread chocolate pieces in unbaked pie shell; freeze at least 1 hour.
    Using mixer at medium speed, beat together corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs and salt until well blended. Stir in pecans.
    Pour over the frozen chocolate pieces in pie shell.
