Old-Fashioned Caramel Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. butter
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 2/3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar slowly and cream together.
    Add beaten eggs; add flour and milk alternately.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake in two well-greased 8-inch layer cake pans for 25 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
