Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground round or hamburger
2 onions, chopped fine
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
1 (12 oz.) can corn niblets
1 large can pitted black olives
1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. chili powder
dash of cumin
dash of oregano
Preparation

Brown meat; drain.
Add onions and pepper; cook until tender. Add tomato sauce and paste; stir.
Mix cornmeal, milk, egg, corn, olives, cheese, garlic, salt, chili powder, cumin and oregano and stir into meat and sauce mixture; stir well.
Pour into a 3-quart casserole and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Serves 8 to 10.
