Scalloped Cheese - cooking recipe
Ingredients

sliced white bread
10 oz. grated cheese
2 eggs
2 c. milk
butter or margarine
Preparation

Butter enough slices of white (sandwich or other) bread to cover bottom of casserole dish; cut into 9 cubes each and lay in dish with buttered side down.
Cover with grated cheese over which is sprinkled a light coat of cayenne or red pepper.
Cover with another layer of buttered bread, cubed.
Add another layer of grated cheese lightly sprinkled with cayenne or red pepper.
Beat eggs; add milk to eggs.
Pour over the casserole.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until solid in the center (about 30 minutes).
