Creamed Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Cook peas according to package directions; drain.
    In medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat.
    Stir in flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg until smooth.
    Gradually stir in milk and cream. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Boil gently for 1 minute. Add peas; simmer 2 minutes.
    Makes 8 servings.
