Red Beet Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

Desired quantity of beets
3 c. vinegar
4 c. sugar
1/2 c. salt
2 c. water (may be CLEAN beet water)
a few whole cloves
Preparation

Wash, cook and skin beets. Be careful not to cut beets while washing or they will \"bleed.\" Cut in desired size.
Bring all ingredients (except beets) to a boil. Add beets.
Seal in clean, warm jars.
