Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour, sifted
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening, chilled
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add milk all at once and stir until dough follows the fork around bowl.
    Place dough on lightly floured surface, gently patting out dough to 3/4-inch thick.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
