Corn Or Egg Bread - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. cornmeal
3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
2 Tbsp. drippings
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
Add buttermilk and egg, stirring until combined.
Melt drippings in skillet or pan and add to the batter.
Pour into a very hot pan and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 450\u00b0.
