Frosted Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
1 (6 oz.) strawberry jello
1 c. miniature marshmallows
chopped nuts
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 pkg. whipped topping mix
1/2 c. coconut
Preparation

Drain pineapple, reserving 1 cup juice and set aside.
Prepare jello using only 3 cups water.
Stir in pineapple, strawberries and juice and marshmallows.
Pour mixture into serving bowl. Chill until firm.
Combine flour, sugar and salt in small saucepan.
Add reserved pineapple juice and butter.
Cook over medium heat until mixture reaches a boil and thickens.
Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Prepare whipped topping.
Fold in cooled juice mixture and coconut.
Spread mixture over chilled jello and sprinkle with coconut and nuts.
Makes approximately 15 servings.
