Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
3 heaping Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. butter
3 egg yolks, well beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. coconut
Preparation

Cook sugar, flour and milk in a double boiler until thick; then add remaining ingredients.
Pour into cooked crust.
Top with meringue made of 3 beaten egg whites with a teaspoon of sugar gradually added as whites are beaten.
Do not add sugar too soon to meringue.
Make sure whites are well beaten before adding sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until meringue is browned.
