Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. pears
    5 lb. sugar
    2 c. crushed pineapple with juice
    2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Wash and core pears.
    Grind or put in blender.
    Combine with other ingredients in a heavy kettle and stir until sugar is dissolved over medium heat.
    Cook, stirring frequently over lowered heat until of good spreading consistency.
    Ladle into sterilized jars. Seal.
