Fruit-Filled Oatmeal Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. All-Purpose Flour
    1 c. quick-cooking rolled Oats
    2/3 c. packed Brown Sugar
    1/2 c. Butter
    1 (10 oz.) jar Preserves (any flavor)
Preparation
    Combine in a mixing bowl flour, oats, brown sugar and baking soda.
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1/2 cup of the flour mixture.
    Press remaining flour mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Spread with preserves.
    Sprinkle with reserved flour mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30-35 minutes or until top is golden.
    Cool in pan on wire rack.
    Cut into bars.
    Makes 2 dozen.
