Country Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. white corn
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg, beaten
2 c. buttermilk
cooking oil (about 2 Tbsp.)
Preparation

Measure corn meal, salt and soda in bowl.
Add beaten egg and buttermilk.
Stir well.
Heat cooking oil in cast-iron skillet. Pour small amount of oil into corn bread mixture; stir.
Pour mixture into remaining oil in hot skillet.
Bake in preheated 450\u00b0 oven for about 20 minutes or until brown on top.
