Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash browns
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 Tbsp. grated onion
salt and pepper to taste
