"Italian" Bruschetta(Appetizer) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 to 14 fresh ripe plum tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. minced garlic
    2 Tbsp. shallots, minced
    1 c. chopped basil leaves (fresh)
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, slivered
    1/2 to 1 loaf sourdough bread
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes into 1/4-inch dice and toss with garlic and shallots.
    Chop basil and add to tomatoes along with lemon juice, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup olive oil; set aside.
