Pea Soup(From "Anderson'S" In California) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    2 c. selected green or yellow peas, split
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 large carrot, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 tsp. ground thyme
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook slowly until peas and vegetables are very soft.
    Strain through sieve.
    I put soft vegetables in Cuisinart and mix with some of soup and put all back into pot.
    If too thick, thin with small can chicken broth.
