Griddlecakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
3 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture, along with shortening, mixing just until flour is dampened.
Add milk as desired for thinner cakes (batter will be lumpy).
Cook on hot greased griddle.
Yields 10 to 12 cakes.
