Special Seven-Up Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. margarine, softened
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. 7-Up
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
    Frosting
Preparation
    Cream shortening, margarine and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Add flour alternately with 7-Up, mixing well after each addition.
    Stir in flavorings. Spoon into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Remove to wire rack to cool.
    Spread with frosting.
    Yield:
    16 servings.
