Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    salt (approximately 5 Tbsp.)
    pepper to taste
    1 oz. oil
    1 oz. vinegar
Preparation
    Shred cabbage as if for cole slaw.
    (Do this the night before you plan to eat the salad.)
    In a large bowl, put 1/5 cabbage layered with 1 tablespoon salt.
    Continue to layer cabbage and salt 5 times until all cabbage is gone.
    Cover with a clean dish towel; leave on counter overnight.
