Old-Fashioned Southern Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 chicken breasts
    3 Tbsp. dark Karo syrup or molasses
    1 to 2 tsp. water
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In small
    bowl,
    mix
    syrup and water.
    Separately, mix flour, salt,
    pepper and oregano.
    First, dip chicken in syrup mixture, then
    in
    flour
    mixture.
    In
    deep
    skillet, pour in large amount
    of oil.
    (Oil should cover chicken 1/2 way up.) Fry
    until brown;
    turn
    and brown other side (2 to 4 minutes each side). Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
