Mostaccioli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. ground sirloin
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 large onion, peeled, ends removed and chopped
    2 cloves garlic, peeled, ends removed and minced
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1 (22 oz.) can tomato sauce or reduced sodium tomato sauce
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    3 c. uncooked mostaccioli (a tubular shape pasta similar to penne)
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook ground meat over medium heat until well done, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Drain excess fat; set meat aside.
    Over medium heat in same skillet, cook onion in vegetable oil until golden, about 5 minutes.
    Do not let onion turn brown.
    Add garlic, pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil and oregano.
    Cover and simmer over low heat for 25 minutes.
