Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. light brown sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. oleo
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except vanilla. Bring to a full boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and beat, adding vanilla. Start spreading on cake before it seems thick enough. If it gets too stiff, add a little cream or milk. Makes enough for 3 layer cake.
