7 Layer Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. canned whole kernel corn, drained
    salt and pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 can water
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
    3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 can water
    4 strips bacon, cut in half
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place ingredients in layers in 2-quart baking dish.
    Layer the rice, corn and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour over 1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 can of water.
    Add green pepper and onion.
    Layer ground beef.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour second can of tomato sauce and water.
    Cover meat with bacon.
    Cover dish and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Uncover and bake about 30 minutes longer, until bacon is crisped.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
