Ingredients

2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. cocoa
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Bring to a boil the first 4 ingredients. Cook for 2 minutes. Remove pan from fire; add the remaining ingredients. Stir well, then drop mixture from a spoon onto waxed paper, allowing cookies to cool. Makes 30 to 40 cookies. Try adding peanut butter; try 1/4 cup at the end of the cooking time.
