Creole Sauce For Meats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes (2 c.), drained
    2 Tbsp. pimento, chopped
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cook onion and green pepper in salad oil until tender, but not brown.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer about 20 minutes or until thick.
