Spears' German Hot Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium sized potatoes
1/2 c. finely chopped sweet onion
6 to 8 strips lean bacon
1/4 c. finely chopped celery
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
black pepper to taste
Preparation

Cook whole potatoes in boiling salted water.
Cool, peel and cube potatoes.
Season with salt and pepper.
Fry bacon until crisp.
Break into pieces over the potatoes.
Heat onion and celery in drippings until partly done, then add vinegar and sugar. Heat to boiling. Pour over potatoes and mix slightly.
Warm just before serving.
Serves 6.
