Pound Cake(Alabama Tech Extension Service) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sugar
    1 lb. butter
    10 eggs
    1 lb. flour
    1/2 tsp. mace
    2 Tbsp. brandy flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually and continue beating.
    Then add egg yolks (beaten until thick and lemon colored), egg whites (beaten until stiff), flour, mace and flavoring.
    Beat vigorously 5 minutes.
    Bake in deep pan in very moderate oven (300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0) for 1 1/4 hours.
