Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. sliced cucumbers
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar (apple cider)
    1/2 c. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    3 large onions, sliced thin
Preparation
    Mix cucumbers and onion in gallon jar.
    Pour cold liquid over and keep in refrigerator.
    Ready in 5 days.
    Keeps 9 months.
