Date Loaf Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. dates
    3 c. sugar
    1 small can Pet milk
    1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients to a soft ball stage (on candy thermometer) on low heat.
    Pour in nuts.
    Stir until stiff and loses gloss.
    Pour onto wet towel to form roll.
    Cool in towel, then wrap in foil.
    This makes a roll about 18 inches long.
    Slice as ready to serve.
