Easy Salmagundi - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. ground round
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    2 c. water
    3/4 c. uncooked brown rice
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (15 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained
Preparation
    Lightly brown meat in Dutch oven.
    Add onion and pepper; cook until tender.
    Add tomato sauce and water; bring to a boil.
    Stir in brown rice, chili powder, salt and pepper.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 50 minutes.
    Stir in corn and additional water, if needed.
    Cover and cook 10 minutes.
    Makes 6 (1 cup) servings. Contains 4 grams fat per serving.
