Grandmother'S Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt

Preparation

In saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup and water.
Cook, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Then cook over low heat without stirring until hard ball is formed (265\u00b0).
Test.
Put into another bowl the egg whites and salt.
Beat egg whites, then add to other mixture. Add nuts, if desired.
Drop by spoonfuls.
