Ingredients

4 c. fresh raspberries
2 sticks butter, softened
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
3 c. flour
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Gently rinse berries; pat dry and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs.
Put 1 cup only of the berries in a blender and puree, then stir the pureed berries and juice, along with the 3 remaining cups whole berries, into butter-sugar-egg mixture.
