Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 c. and 1 Tbsp. flour
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. apricot jam
Preparation

Mix all ingredients until dry and crumbly with spoon and hands.
Firmly pat into well greased 9 x 9-inch pan half the mixture.
Spread on layer, apricot jam.
Press over this the rest of the mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
